Quality e-bikes and scooters often cost more than $1000. That's a big commitment, and a big risk if it gets stolen or needs a repair and your local bike shop won't fix it. Tempo allows you to pay as you go, is there when you need us for repairs, and limits your risk of theft. We will even sell you your subscription vehicle if you want to buy it from us later.
When you subscribe to a Tempo vehicle, Tempo buys the vehicle from the brand and lends it to you. BNPL services lend you the money to buy the vehicle. With Tempo, you can make subscription payments for as long as you want, or you can return the vehicle, or your can buy it from us. With BNPL loans, you have to pay the whole loan back, whether you still want the vehicle or not.
Your Tempo vehicle is just for you. Take it home, plug it in, ride it as much as you want. It is always there when you need it, unlike a shared vehicle, which might not be charged or repaired even if it happens to be available nearby. Plus, riding shared vehicles every day can cost hundreds of dollars a month. Tempo subscriptions start at $75.
Yes, you do. Even though Tempo vehicles have GPS and theft protection built-in, you must act responsibly to keep the vehicle safe and from someone walking off with it. Bring a lock, and keep it safe. If your vehicle is stolen we can't get it back, we will keep your security deposit and require you to file a police report.
Tempo vehicles, including the Äike T, are connected to the internet, just like shared scooters. They can only be turned on if you have app for the vehicle and have paid for a subscription. They also have sensors to detect if the vehicle is being moved when it is turned off. That can trigger an alarm, will lock the wheel, and will send notifications to your phone. Tempo can also remotely disable stolen vehicles and track them by GPS.
Tempo is there when you need us. Using the smart assistant in your app and our live support, we'll help you get back on the road ASAP. Wear-and-tear, like flat tires, are on us, and other repairs are billed at the lowest possible rates. You can always reach us at support@ridetempo.co.
All Tempo vehicles have internet connections and GPS. Use the app to report your vehicle missing, and we'll work with you to get it back. If we can't recover it, we will keep your security deposit to cover a small part of the cost of the lost vehicle. Please keep your Tempo vehicle secure.
Your scooter charges with a standard USB-C laptop-style charger, which will be provided to you with your subscription. Just plug it in and go. Forget your charger while on the go? Any USB-C charger with more than 60 Watts of output will work. It takes about 5 hours for a 100 Watt charger to fully charge the Äike T.
Tempo subscriptions are billed monthly. To cancel, just return your vehicle before the end of your current month. Subscribers on our discounted annual plan can return their vehicle any time in their 12th month to end their subscription.
We would be happy for your to keep your Tempo vehicle forever. To buy it and end your subscription payments, contact us and we will give you the price for your vehicle based on its age and mileage. If you choose to buy it, we will credit your security deposit toward the purchase, charge you the balance, and the vehicle is yours.
